day 1: 13th june:
hmm..ok..i met wee kie , isa and trudy at the 401 bus stop...then we headed down to church to report...then after tat all the campers and 2 camp com members walked to the bus stop to take bus no. 82 to the marriage encounter retreat house...when we arrived there the rest of the camp com were already there...so we put down our bags and all the things tat we had..so we sat in a circle and introduced ourselves...and camp com ppl passed around a roll of tape and ask us to write our names and a word to describe urself and the word muz start with the same letter as ur name..so ya..at first wee kie , trudy, isa and i...din noe wat to write so ya..juz wrote our name..however...clare camp arnd to check tat we have written so ya..haha..in the end she wrote for us...and ya..hmm..ok..so during intro...i realised tat this camp was abit different cause the ppl who went for last year's tripartite camp and JB retreat din come as in alot of them din come...but it was good to see so many new faces...then i told myself tat i shld try and open up and get to know them..hmm..ok..after intro we played some games la..then randomly in grps we had to build a tower which is tall and strong enough to support Jerry's wallet and can withstand the artificial wind and earthquake...so ya..my grp din really have an idea at first..but after a while..we decided on sth and it turned out to be quite good..although it wasn't the best but there was a sense of satisfaction..the tower tat we built could withstand everything juz tat it was not the tallest...but tats not the point..
hmm...after all the games ..we took our stuffs to the conference room and we were broken up into our sharing grps as well as our domerteries...so ya...my grp had Nathaniel, Gillian, Luke, Vickash...tat was all cause the the other 2 ppl din come...as i expected i was not in the same grp as my friends but tats ok with me...oh ya..my grp name is BRAZIL!!!!!... but the good thing is my grp and isa's grp shared the same dom...so ya..trudy was also in the same grp as isa ...so the 3 of us were in the same dom...hmm..ok..after tat we went to our rooms and it was time for lunch...but it was not too good la..i din finish my lunch...it was like damn big portion...
after lunch ...there was session 1 which was on respect and understanding..i learnt alot from the session and all ..hmm,...after tat we had games at punggol beach...and i saw mr chan there..i got a shock la..i mean we were almost there ..going down the stairs then this guy walked up the steps and stare at me i was like ...hmm..wait..he looks very familar...so i rmb he was mr chan la..my amaths teacher..so ya..said hi..and i almost freaked out can..i was so dman shocked to see him there...hmm..anyway..the games were fun...i tink clare and isis's station was the most interesting...our grp members suppose to stand in a straight line in the water and ties our legs together..each of us had a spoon and we had to fill a bottle with water ...with onli the spoon and fill the balloons to the size tat isis wanted it to be so ya...although my grp was not very successful..it was very fun....!!!!
next we went back to ME house for shower time...so ya..showered and then it was dinner...after dinner there was session 2 it was also on respect and unerstanding...after tat was night activity it was very meaningful la...it was very reflective so ya.,..then debrief and lights out...
hmm...ok...i found the first day very meaningful cause i've learnt alot about respect and understanding and all the games juz revolved arnd these 2 topics..but i felt it was really really good..
at night...after lights out..sth really funny happened...isa was sleeping on the upper deck of the double decker bed ...and i was sleeping on the lower deck...at arnd 4.30am she sms ..." ger..sry to disturb u ..but can u help me take my tissue"...i heard the vibration sound but din tink it was my hp..so ya..i din bother...5 min later...i heard it again and din bother la..i tot it was isa's hp...but at 6 plus i check my hp for the time and found 2 sms-es so ya..i read it i was like...erm..ok...then din bother liao..so ya..damn funny la..
day 2: 14th june:
ok..countinue from on top...i knew tat isa woke up liao she also brush teeth liao..then i woke up went to my bag to take my toothbrush and i din noe she was there at her bag (her bag juz beside mine) so ya.then she gave me tat really wide smile and i got a shock la..i practically freaked out can...then got high after tat...so ya..mass was at 8...then breakfast...then session 3 then lunch and the theme for tat day was trust and teamwork...so ya..after lunch had outdoor games...it was really fun..i cheered and cheered until sore throat la.. and after isa found out i got sorethroat ...she started nagging at me la..she also scold me when i started shouting..but i din bother..haha...anyway...tks isa...ok..outdoor games was really fun..we had to find the symbol with the symbol clue...draw it out the paper given...go and find the station with the location clue and then ask the station master if the symbol is correct..if its wrong..then we had to go find the correct station...if correct then proceed on with the game ...haha..so y.a.i like sebastian soon's station...isis's station (although we were not successful) and clare's station (although it was dirty)...haha...hmm..ok..i shall talk about clare's station first..ok..all of the grp members had to put the mixure of flour and water on our cheeks and lipstick on our nose...and had to write a word tat clare wanted us to write with our nose only...so y.a..the word tat my grp had to write was trudy's mother's name...so y.a.hah.a.luckyily i knew lor..haha...so my grp decided to trust me and ya...tks ppl for trusting me...hmm...ok..after we did tat we had to do a tribal dance so ya...we did tat and yay!!! we got 3 cookies...tks a lot clare...
hmm..ok..now isis's station..hmm..ok..in this staion we had rafia strings so tied it arnd us and we had to put the chopsticks into the bottle without using hands and legs so ya...at first we did it..and then isis blindfolded nathanial...so i was like shit la..im so lost la...and luke was mute so ya...hmm..ok..after tat there was onli me and gillian could speak but the thing is i didn't noe how to direct my grp members cause nthe seemed to be working so ya...hmm..but after tat isis gave us a "debrief" session and we were not tat high liao..but its ok lor...i mean its a learning experience...tks isis...i've learnt sth from ur station..ok...sebastian's station was wet...we had to crawl and then burst the water balloon and act out watever was written on the paper inside the water balloon so ya...it was ok for me..and ya..it was quite fun ...haha...hmm..ok...
ok..after outdoor games had shower then dinner then we had reflection on outdoor games and then we had session 4 called trughful feedback we had to like give constructive feedback the the camp com...,.as in everyone of us...we went in one circle so ya..hmm..din really noe wat to say at first so ya...thought a bit and i juz said watever that came to my mind.....it was quite an emo session...some camp com ppl cried lor...but i guess they wanted us to do this becuase they wanted to do the best for us and the way to do it is to learn from the mistakes tat they have made and ya...this is like the first camp i've attended tat we were asked to do such things...hmm..ok..anyway...after tat whole emo session was lights out and ya.....
i really enjoyed the second day as well...it was really really interesting and i've learnt alot bout teamwork and trust...
day 3 :15th june
in the morning we had mass at arnd 7.30 after mass we had breakfast and then briefing and we had to walk back to church..not with our bags of course...so ya..but on the way there are like stations tat we have to complete but we onli got the time to complete 2 stations as we were alreay behind time but it was really fun...although some of us were still quite tired after the outdoor games on the second day..but o well...hmm..ok..when we reached church we had lunch then we had session 6...there was 3 stations 1sth station was break to write warm fuzzy...station 2 was writing...where we had to go to the hall and there was chairs all over and on each chair there was a piece of paper with everyone's name written on it..one paper one name la...then we were suppose to write 1 feedback for 1 person and do it for 3 ppl...so y.a.it was similar to truthful feedback...but this time was for our friends...and station 3 was a challenge....we had a web and had to transport all our grp members across the web...onli can go by the top...so ya..my grp started with the 3rd station and we were successful....so ya..after tat went to the the second station..then first...after tat we had break...haha...
so ya..then there was session 7...who said im the darkest of them all...during this session we all went up to the hall and sat down at the allocated seats and then we were given the paper tat our friends wrote for us the comments..we got to read it..when isis say we cna read liao..i read it carefully...when i read wat clare wrote i was really moved by it..i dunno y la..but it juz hit me and i was going to cry liao..but the tears cannot come out..hmm..ok..tats not the point but ya..i read it quite a few times though...hmm...but it really really moved me...thank you to all those who wrote for me..i really appreaciate it..
after tat was dinner...then we had session 8:reconcillation....hmm..first we had to fold paper cranes for all those who wrote comments for us...so ya..ok..so we were taught how to fold them and later we had some reflection time and ya..isis read us a story ...when i was listening to it..tears juz started to flow..and i began to feel very warm within me...it was a very beautiful story ...after tat we had to go and give the crane to those who had written for us...hmm..so ya...so those ppl whom i gave the crane to..im sry tat its so out fo shape..h.ah.a..im really sry...hmm..ok..it was quite a emo session also la..but it really brought all of us together...i really liked it..it was one of my most favourite session...
ok..tats for day 3 ...and ya..after lights out we were writing warm fuzzys and i went to sleep at 5.30am and woke up at arnd 7 plus..hhaha...ok...tats about it..i really enjoyed day 3...its a good experience and the theme was openess and forgiveness...i really learnt alot about it..haha..
day 4: 16th june
woke up at arnd 8 ...had breakgast then we helped cleaned up certain areas of the church so ...my grp was allocated to clean the YC room...it was quite ok la...after tat had session 8: love of self and friends...fr kenson gave a talk ...it was quite interesting...so y.a..after tat was lunch
after lunch there was session 9: love of family and god's love...we had this activity whereby we had to choose a person from our grp tat we felt had the most love...so ya..since my grp was so small..we had to combine with germany ...so ya..we chose rena after tat..hmm..ok..then they were blindfolded and asked to stand in the middle of the heart ...and there was a roll of rafia string we had to throw it to ppl opposite us and when we threw it ..we had to say sth to afirm tat person...so ya...is threw to me and i threw to wee kie ..after tat the ppl in the middle had to walk to the grp and touch one of the grp member's shoulder..and onli the ppl lying down on the floor can speak..so ya..we were numbered off and ya..haha...so rena managed to get out...yay!!!after tat we had some other activity and ya..ok..then was shower time then mass...i had to read la..cause my jr din come..so ok lor...and then we had dinner which was great cause it was pot luck and parents were invited and ya...so me , wee kie, isa and trudy stayed till 9 plus...haha..cause we were talking to sebastian soon and some other ppl..we juz din wanna go home..we love camp so much can...hmm..
hmm..ok.tats about it la..i mean..i really enjoyed this camp..i've really learnt alot..oh ya..the theme for the last day was love and affirmation..so ya..i've learnt alot about all the theme's this camp tat links to the main theme..."let me see love through friends" i find this camp very meaningful ...and ya...i've got to know many more ppl
